BREAKING: Gunmen Abduct Traditional Ruler, Wife In Ibadan

The Baale of Araro, Bakatare in the outskirt of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, Chief Tafa Apanpa, and his wife, were on Tuesday evening abducted by unknown gunmen.

A resident of the village, who craved for anonymity, disclosed that the chief and his wife were abducted around 9:pm on Tuesday.

Confirming the incident, Police Public Relations Officer PPRO in the state command, Adewale Osifeso, said the incident happened very late on Tuesday 22nd of June, 2021 at Araro on village.

He said; “Efforts are in top gear to rescue both victims and as well apprehend the abductors, please.”

The gunmen stormed the village during a down pour and went straight to the home of the traditional rulers to abduct him.
